Amir learned designing film and TV first hand from the Oscar nominiee production designer K.K. Barrett (Her, Marie Antoinette), art director Adorjan Portik (Dune) and set decorator Claire Richards (The Theory of Everything, Belfast, House of the Dragon). His approach to production design is with a keen sensitivity and attention to the characters and the narrative, helping the camera to reveal more layers of the story.

Amir has undertaken a variety of productions and sets with diverse budget ranges and genres. His works have been screened at prestigious festivals and art venues such as TIFF, Slamdance, Berlinale, Busan, and Venice Biennale

Amir received his M.A. in Film from Staffordshire University and holds a degree in fine arts.. He is a proud member of Directors Guild of Canada (DGC).
